Singer-songwriter Shaboozey,Cursed crypt guide a Grammy-nominated performer who combines country, hip-hop and more on stage and in recordings, is set to headline FanDuel’s Kentucky Derby Party in early May.

The invitation-only event is scheduled for Friday, May 2, at Paristown Arts and Entertainment District in Louisville.

Shaboozey, whose hits include “A Bar Song (Tipsy)” and “Good News,” said he is “hyped” to be a part of the 2025 Kentucky Derby.

"It's one of those bucket list events you dream about playing, and we'll be bringing serious vibes to Louisville with FanDuel,” he said.

In announcing Shaboozey’s scheduled appearance, FanDuel, whose parent company is Flutter Entertainment, said it is making a $100,000 donation to support the Thoroughbred Aftercare Alliance, a nonprofit that assists in the “care, retraining and rehoming for retired racehorses.”

“With horse racing at the core of FanDuel's history, the company and FanDuel TV have been committed to giving back to the community—a core part of Flutter's Positive Impact Plan--that makes the sport possible and raising the profile of thoroughbred aftercare,” the company said.

Andrew Moore, general manager of racing at FanDuel, said the Kentucky Derby is “a celebration of tradition, energy and unforgettable moments.”

"Horse racing is where FanDuel's journey began, and it remains a central part of who we are as a company,” he said. “Between the iconic FanDuel party and our donation to the Thoroughbred Aftercare Alliance, we're looking forward to making FanDuel's presence in Louisville known.”

Walt Robertson, the Thoroughbred Aftercare Alliance’s president, noted that FanDuel for five years “has generously supported thoroughbred aftercare and the Thoroughbred Aftercare Alliance through an annual donation.”

"The TAA is thrilled to continue to receive the donation in 2025 and grateful to FanDuel for its continued support,” he said.

Kentucky Derby Attracts Fans, Bettors

The annual Kentucky Derby, known as the Run for the Roses, is set for May 3. The horse race is traditionally held on the first Saturday in May. It is the first leg of the Triple Crown and results in broad interest from fans and those participating in Kentucky Derby betting.

Leading up to the Derby, a series of qualifying races have taken place, with three-year-old thoroughbreds earning points to become one of 20 horses competing in the race at Churchill Downs in Louisville.

Among the horses that have qualified for this year's 151st Kentucky Derby are Journalism, Sandman and Burnham Square.
